You will start this 7-Day Kenya tour in Amboseli National Park the land of the giants. The park is the best place in Kenya to see elephants and has many other wildlife species including giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras, that are all seen with an incredible background of Mount Kilimanjaro. You can choose to do the different safari activities including game drives, guided nature walks, and balloon safaris.
From Amboseli, you will then head to Lake Nakuru National Park another important wildlife safari destination in Kenya. Lake Nakuru is among the important birding areas in Kenya and birding safaris here are very rewarding. Beyond the birds are savanna wildlife species including rhinos, lions, and leopards though rarely seen among others. Lake Nakuru National Park is the best place in Kenya to see rhinos and the park has both black and white rhinos.
You will end your 7-day Kenya Tour in Masai Mara National Reserve. Masai Mara is the most anticipated destination on this 7-day Kenya tour. The reserve is a lion conservation unit with one of the highest lion populations. All the big cats are present here and you will surely see them while on game drives. Day 1: Transfer to Amboseli National Park (3.5 hours drive)
You will meet your driver guide at your Nairobi Hotel for a briefing about the safari and then set off for Amboseli National park in Southern Kenya. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos among others. Arrive in the park early enough for lunch and spend the afternoon on game drives to see the major wildlife in the park. Game drives are very scenic with impressive views of mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Later head to your lodge. Meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp
Day 2: Safari in Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head out to explore the park on game drives following the different trails. You will see a number of wildlife including those you missed seeing on the first day. Have a lunch break and spend the afternoon on safari. End the day with a sundowner enjoying the African sunset. Meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp
Day 3: Head to Lake Nakuru National Park ( 6 to 7 hours drive)
Start this day with an early breakfast and then exit Amboseli National Park for a transfer to Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is one of the great Rift Valley lakes and is most famous for flamingos. Even though the number of flamingos along the lake have reduced, there are other bird species here including great white pelicans. You can still enjoy the flamingos as well. There are also a number of other wildlife species in Lake Nakuru national park that include Rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, black rhinos among others. You will get to the park in time for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the park while on game drives. Meals and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 4: Full-Day Safari In Lake Nakuru National Park
You will spend this day exploring Lake Nakuru National park seeing the various wildlife species. This park is one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos. Black rhinos, even though rare, are present in the park and you can spot them if lucky. The park is also very great for birding and you will enjoy birding excursions here. Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve (4 hours drive)
After breakfast you will have a relaxed drive to Masai Mara National reserve. This is the most anticipated part of the safari where you will see a number of wildlife including the wildebeest, big cats, elephants, buffaloes, as well as a number of birds. If you visit between July to August you can catch up with the Wildebeest River crossings that are very spectacular. You arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch and spend the afternoon on a safari. Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara
You will start this day with an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers. You will see the major big cats, especially lions. Masai Mara is a lion conservation unit and has one the highest lion populations in East Africa. You will also see other major wildlife and enjoy the endless views of the ecosystem. Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge
Day 7: Game Drives & Departure
After breakfast at your lodge, you will have a game drive as you exit the reserve for a transfer back to Nairobi. Arrive in the evening for a drop-off at the Hotel or airport depending on the schedule.
