The safari also has great birding safari opportunities and you will get to see Kenya's diverse birdlife. Start with this Magical Kenya adventure and Discovery Journey exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The conservancy is one of Kenya's conservation successes and it is home to various wildlife species including the big five mammals. Rhinos are iconic and a leading attraction as well as elephants, chimpanzees, buffaloes, and leopards among others. Kenya Safari experiences at Ol Pejeta are up close and personal and you therefore get to learn more about wildlife. Safaris here are also family-friendly favoring people of all ages.
From Ol Pejeta continue on your 8-day Kenya safari adventure to Lake Elementaita. It is one of the great rift valley lakes home to birds and other wildlife species. You will continue exploring the Rift Valley Lakes to Lake Nakuru for birding and a safari. You will end this Kenya wildlife safari in Masai Mara National Reserve. The great wildebeest Migration takes place here as animals cross the Mara River coming from Serengeti National Park. This migration attracts major big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs that are seen while on game drives. This 8-day Kenya safari is the best birding and Big Five Discovery Journey. It can be taken at any time of the year but for the best birding experiences we recommend visiting from November to May. If you are interested in the wildebeest Migration can visit from July to October.

Day 1: Explore Kenya Highlands
Start your adventure with a transfer to Laikipia plateau area. This beautiful journey will take you through the Kenya highlands where you will enjoy great scenic views. You will arrive at the lodge in Time for a lunch break after you will go for a game drive. Laikipia is strategically located at the Foothills of Mount Kenya and on clear days you get to see the mountain peaks.

Day 2: Game Drives in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Ol Pejeta is one of the major conservancies in Kenya and is home to a number of wildlife species. The conservancy provides great opportunities for viewing the black and white rhinos. Other notable wildlife species here include elephants, giraffes, zebras and Buffaloes. You will have a lunch break and later can go for a guided nature walk, horseback riding or any other activity of your choice

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Elementaita
You will have breakfast and head out for a game drive then exit ol Pejeta for a transfer to Lake Elenmtaita in Soysambu conservancy. You will pass via the Equator line and have a stop over for photography and a lunch break. After lunch proceed with your safari down the Rift Valley arriving in the late afternoon and directly head to your lodge. Lake Elementaita is one of the great Rift Valley lakes and among the best birding safari destinations. The lake is a breeding ground for the great pelicans and home to over 400 bird species.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast you will transfer to Lake Nakuru national park. Lake Nakuru is another great Rift Valley lake famous for flamingos. Its a great birding destination and the best spot for seeing flamingos. Other major wildlife in the park include white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, Hippos, most of which are seen on game drives. After the adventurous game drive you will head to your lodge for a rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Have an early breakfast and transfer to Lake Naivasha via Hell's gate national park. You will have a brief tour here viewing wildlife like serval cats, klipspringers, birds among others. Later proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch after which you will go for a boat cruise. Visit the crescent island reserve where you will do a guided nature walk.

Day 6: Head to Masai Mara Game reserve
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge and embark on a journey to Masai Mara national reserve. Get there in time for lunch and in the afternoon go for a game drive. This is the best place for a classic African safari and while here you will spot a variety of wildlife. End the day with a beautiful African sunset and great scenic views of the mara ecosystem.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
If its the right season for the great wildebeest migration, you will head out after an early breakfast. Here you will witness one of the world's natural wonders of millions of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles migrating. The big cats are a must in Masai mara and can easily be seen taking down their prey. You will have picnic lunch and later can have a ballon safari or a guided walk.

Day 8: Departure
Wake up early before dusk for a game drive to catch up with the early risers. You will then be driven back to Nairobi with en route stop overs for photography at major places of interest. Arrive in Nairobi in the evening for a drop off at the Hotel or airport for departure depending on schedule
