Arriving at the park headquarters by 7:00 am, you will attend a pre-trek briefing by ranger guides. They share essential insights and regulations to follow during the gorilla trekking experience. It is aimed at having a sustainable and respectful encounter with the apes.

The hike through the forested mountains is thrilling and breathtaking. It lasts between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the movement of gorillas. Pick up from the hotel in Kigali at 4:30 am transfer to volcanoes national park

This starts with a pick up from the hotel in Kigali at 4:30 am for a transfer to volcanoes national park to Catch up with the briefing at 7:00 am. During the briefing you are told the dos and the don'ts while in the presence of the gorillas. You will then proceed to the forested mountains in a hike that takes a 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you meet the gorillas you will be allowed in their presence for an hour taking photos and getting to know more about them. Later you will be be brought back to the park headquarters and be driven back to Kigali for a drop off at the airport or hotel depending on schedule.
