This 4-day Uganda Gorilla tour features a visit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in South Western Uganda and it is a work heritage site. The total mountain gorilla population is currently estimated at around 1100 individuals and Bwindi has over 450 of these. The rest is what is shared in the other three National Parks in the Virunga massif. This makes Bwindi the best mountain gorilla trekking destination. The park has 4 main sectors and you will track mountain gorillas in the northern or Eastern Sector of Bwindi.

You will be expected at the park headquarters at 7:00 a.m. for a briefing about the mountain gorilla trek and then be guided by rangers amidst sightings of several wildlife. You will hike until you meet the mountain gorillas and stay in their presence of the mountain gorillas for an hour. After this incredible encounter, you will be led back to the park headquarters and awarded your certificates of participation.

After this incredible adventure with the mountain gorillas, you will have a community visit to the local Bakiga or Batwa where you will get to know more about their ways of life.

You will end your 4-day Uganda Gorilla Tour at Lake Mburo National Park one of the most diverse national parks in Uganda. Lake Mburo is the smallest savanna national park in Uganda but has diverse wildlife. Enjoy a safari game drive here seeing the major wildlife species including elands, zebras, giraffes, and others. The 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour is ideal for those interested in Primates and savanna wildlife. It can be done by different tourist categories including honeymooners and overall adventure lovers.

Full Tour Package

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi

Start your day with an early pick up from your Kampala or Entebbe hotel for a long drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda. This a long drive taking 9 to 10 hours including stopovers for lunch. You will also have a stop over T the Equator or other places of interest and later continue to Bwindi arriving in the evening

Day 2: Gorilla Trek & Batwa Visit

After an early breakfast you will head to the park headquarters by 7:00 am for briefing about the do's and don'ts of gorilla tracking. After the briefing you will proceed to the forested mountains trekking amidst sighting of other wildlife species including birds. Once you get to the gorillas you will be allowed in their presence for a hour getting to know more about them and later return and get your certificates of participation. In the evening you will go for a Batwa community visit where you will know about their ways of life.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP & Boat Cruise

You will have breakfast and head to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for a lunch break. You will later go for a boat Cruise where you will see a number of wildlife including hippos.

Day 4: Game drives/Nature walk and Departure

Start the day with an early game drives seeing the major wildlife species in the park like giraffes, zebras, Buffaloes, elands, a number of birds and so much more. You will them have a nature walk to the salt lick and then exit the park for s transfer to Kampala/Entebbe for departure depending on schedule.
