Primate Discovery Journeys
Primates Discovery Journeys safari adventures feature gorillas and chimpanzee trekking. There are two gorilla species in the region, lowland gorillas and mountain gorillas. Lowland gorillas are endemic to Kahuzi Biega National Park and it is the only place you can see them in the wild. For Chimpanzee trekking, Kibale National Park is our top-selling destination. The park has the highest chimpanzee population and many other primate species and birds. Rwanda’s Nyungwe National Park is another great chimpanzee trekking destination. It is home to 13 primate species including chimpanzees.
