Chimpanzee trekking starts with a briefing at the park headquarters where you are told about the trekking rules and regulations. From there, you are guided into the forest following the chimpanzee trails and hiking until you get to them. The chimpanzee habituation experience is more experiential taking you behind the scenes of the habituation process. It involves following chimpanzee communities under habituation and gives you up to 4 hours with them. This is only possible in Kibale Forest and has limited slots of only 4 people a day. Golden Monkey Trekking & Habituation

Golden monkey trekking and habituation are done in Mgahinga Gorilla Park in southwestern Uganda. The park is part of the Virunga massif and conservation area that includes Volcanoes National Park Rwanda and Virunga National Park DRC. The Virunga conservation area is home to mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, and other wildlife species including forest elephants and buffaloes.

Golden monkeys are endemic to the Virunga massif and Maghinga is the only place in Uganda where you can see them. They are covered with golden fur and live in communities of up to 20 individuals. Murchison Falls Big Five Experiences

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s most diverse savanna wildlife destination. The park is bisected by the Nile River on its journeys up north.
